All children (and their grown-ups!) are most welcome to join master gardener Carol McIntyre after church service every Sunday through the spring and summer for a gardening workshop geared just for them! They’ll be introduced to the life cycle of soil and plants, get to plant veggies in the garden, and learn about their role in planet stewardship.
During coffee hour every Sunday. At the children’s garden behind the Centre for Peace.
Remember to wear or bring something you don’t mind getting dirty!
“Children have a natural wisdom and heart for stewardship.” ~ Carol McIntyre
ABOUT CAROL MCINTYRE
Carol’s experience as an organic grower began in 1980. In 2008-2011 she developed and taught a four-part course in communities on the coast called, Full Circle: How to Grow Winter-harvest Vegetables for a year-round harvest. In 2012-13 she finished the Gaia Organic Master Gardener course and learned about lawns, shrubs, and trees, as well as the science behind what she practiced in my garden. Growing organic food is still her first passion, though, much as she enjoys the beauty and diversity of gardens.
