Universal Gospel Choir concert

Join us this Remembrance Day for a by-donation afternoon concert by the Universal Gospel Choir.

This UGC concert honours the end of hostilities during the First World War and those in the armed forces who died in the line of duty.

The Universal Gospel Choir often shares their love and gift of music for meaningful events in Vancouver.

Open House and Viewing of Windows

This Remembrance Day holds exceptional significance as our country marks the 100th anniversary of the end of World War 1.

Canadian Memorial United Church walls are covered with stained glass windows depicting scenes from Canada’s past. Take time this Remembrance Day to drop-by and view the beautiful historic stained glass windows and read the stories behind them in a quite, meditative space.

If you are unable to join us for the Open House on Nov. 11, please enjoy this stunning compilation of history and photos curated by the Institute for Stained Glass in Canada.

The history of these windows is included here.

Commemorative Service

This Remembrance Day, as we mark the 100th anniversary of the end of World War 1, come and pay tribute  to those who fought for our freedom, remember lives lost, and celebrate the 90th anniversary of the church as a Memorial to Peace.

Tessa Blaikie Whitecloud, peace advocate, will be the Guest Speaker on Remembrance Day.

On November 11th, our commemorative service with church choir and orchestra will feature peace advocate Tessa Blaikie Whitecloud as our guest speaker.
